A rocket with satellites constructed by high school students was launched from the Bidovce airport in Slovakia

On the 26th of April 2024, a rocket with a gas-based hybrid drive launched satellites into the sky, which were constructed by high school students from the Košice and Prešov regions. The reason was a Dry run test before the national finals of the CanSat competition organized internationally by the European Space Agency and the Slovak Space Office.

Representatives of the Institute of Experimental Physics SAS, Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia (DT ITSO SK), representatives of the Technical University in Košice, the Slovak Agency for the Development of Investments and Trade (SARIO) and the University of Pavel Jozef Šafárik Košice are starting to officially cooperate on the growth of the Space Cluster, which will be the only one of its kind in eastern Slovakia.
