Innovlab Team Colleagues Dominated the Slovak Finals of the CASSINI Hackathon Slovakia
Colleagues from Innovlab, through their team Synapse 404, once again proved that innovation is one of our strongest assets. Last weekend, they triumphed in the Slovak finals of the prestigious CASSINI Hackathon Slovakia, a Europe-wide competition organized by the European Commission that brings together top talent in space technologies and data innovation.
GeoQuest: An Innovation That Changes the Way We Travel
The winning application GeoQuest offers a fresh perspective on travelling. It combines gamification with satellite and meteorological data, creating a motivating and modern tool for exploring one’s surroundings.
Users earn real rewards for completing challenges while also discovering new, personalized locations—thanks to AI and intelligent data processing.
The result is an experience that connects technology with physical activity, promoting a healthy lifestyle and supporting local tourism.
Satellite Data for Better Decision-Making
GeoQuest uses data from the Copernicus Sentinel-5 satellite to monitor air quality, allowing users to choose destinations that are not only attractive but also healthier.
In combination with data from the Open-Meteo API, the app recommends the most suitable places based on current and forecasted weather conditions.
Technologies That Support Sustainability
The project has a clear goal: to promote active, safe, and sustainable travel.
It brings together modern technologies, open data, and user motivation to ensure that travelling is not only convenient but also environmentally responsible.
